Transport and title

Two separate problems that people treat as one. The car can move before the title clears, or after, and which one applies is set at the sale.

STEP 01

1 · Payment

Full payment, including the buyer's premium and fees, within two business days of the hammer.

STEP 02

2 · Release

A gate pass is issued once funds clear. Nothing leaves the yard without one.

STEP 03

3 · If there is a blue light

The title is not present. Funds are held, the gate pass is withheld, and the vehicle stays here until the title is recorded.

STEP 04

4 · Collection window

Free storage to the Monday after the sale. After that, daily storage applies.

STEP 05

5 · Transport

We will hand a vehicle to any carrier you arrange, open or enclosed, with the gate pass in the driver's hand.

STEP 06

6 · Title transfer

Titles are mailed to the registered buyer once recorded. Typical window is 10 to 20 business days when a duplicate is involved.

In our words

Why it is built this way

The blue light exists because a car and its title do not always arrive together, and pretending otherwise is how buyers end up with a vehicle they cannot register.

Under a blue light nothing moves. That is inconvenient and it is the point: the money is held on the buyer's side of the transaction until the paperwork is real.

We do not arrange transport ourselves and we do not take a commission on it. Any carrier you choose can collect against a gate pass.

What this department does not do

  • We are not a shipping broker and we do not recommend carriers.
  • We do not register vehicles on a buyer's behalf or handle out-of-state registration.
  • We cannot accelerate a state title office, and we will not give you a date we do not control.

Crossblock is a design demonstration. It sets no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies, because there are none to set. If you accept, four preferences are kept in this browser's localStorage: your theme, your paint chip, your cabin controls and the fact that you answered this. Decline and nothing is written — the site still works, it just forgets your choices when you leave.
